“Don’t Cha” is the debut single by American girl group the Pussycat Dolls. The song was originally recorded by American recording artist Tori Alamaze, and was released as her debut single in March 2005, on Universal Records. After Universal Records dropped her from the label, Cee-Lo Green gave the track to the Pussycat Dolls. The song was released in 2005 as the lead single from the Dolls’ debut studio album PCD. “Don’t Cha” is about a girl who teases a guy that she is hotter than his girlfriend. “Don’t Cha” has received mostly positive reviews from most music critics who praised its R&B grooves and it high dose of energy. The song has also achieved commercial success by topping charts in Australia, Belgium, the Republic of Ireland, the New Zealand, Switzerland and the United Kingdom, as well as reaching the top ten in many other countries. The music video of the song portrayed the Pussycat Dolls lingering in various locations dressed in seductive clothing as they dance and sing. “Don’t Cha” was performed by the Dolls in a number of live appearances including their first headlining PCD World Tour and the second worldwide tour Doll Domination Tour.
